Our Instructors at Extra Innings


Extra Innings offers individualized, year round professional baseball and softball instruction. Our staff uses a uniform step-by-step teaching system to encourage positive progress with all our students.

The Extra Innings staff features former and current professional players, college all-stars, and area college and high school coaches.

Dan Pill – Owner/Baseball Instructor


Dan was a Division I starting pitcher and outfielder at American University. A native of Newton, MA Dan was a three time High School All-Star and his Senior year was league MVP and named to the All Eastern Massachusetts All-Star team. Since college Dan has played in the Boston Park League and Yawkey Baseball League where he is a six time All-Star. Dan currently is the Franchise owner of the Brighton Brewers in the Yawkey Baseball League and currently is playing in the MSBL. Dan is available for hitting, pitching, catching and fielding lessons.
 

Dana Levensaler – General Manager/Head Baseball Instructor

Dana is a true student of the game. He has studied the sport in depth his entire life through books, film, video, and instruction on both the physical and mental aspects of the game. He is also a great communicator and can relate to players of all skill and age levels, so this makes him a terrific instructor for anyone. He holds the third highest single season batting average in the Yawkey Baseball League when he hit .475 in 2005. He is a perennial all-star for the Waltham Red Sox in the Men’s Senior Baseball League and plays in many tournaments around the country for several different teams while using wood bats that he has made himself.

 

Todd Carroll – Baseball Instructor

Todd has 10 years of collegiate coaching experience including stops at Harvard University, the Cape Cod Baseball League and the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). 63 of Carroll’s former players have signed professional contracts including Oakland A’s closer Andrew Bailey.

 

Jake Christman – Baseball Instructor

While at nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University Jake participated in three Division II College World Series and was First Team All Northeast-10 Conference All-Star and 1st Team All New-England All-Star. Senior season he hit .340 while starting all 58 regular season and regional tournament games for the Ravens, who were 49-9. He played for the Holyoke Giants in the NECBL who we were regular season champs and also has been in the Yawkey League, Intercity league and currently plays in the Boston Park League.

 

Brad Reynolds – Baseball Instructor

Brad was a 4 year varsity starter at Kenyon College in Gambier Ohio and his junior year he was a third team Rawlings All-American. He is in the top ten of almost every offensive category at the school and holds the first and second single season fielding percentage record at the school. Upon graduation he was selected to play in the Euro League.

 

Chelsea Korp – Softball Instructor

Chelsea is entering her senior season for the Brandeis softball team this spring. A three year starting shortstop, Chelsea has started 133 out of 137 games in her career. She is in the top 10 for career program rankings in seven offensive categories and has had numerous walk-off hits in her time at Brandeis including the game-winner in the finals of the 2008 ECAC Championship to give the Judges their first-ever ECAC crown. Chelsea is available for hitting and pitching.

 

Stacie Marino – Softball Instructor

At New England College in Henniker New Hampshire, Stacie was a 4 year starting catcher that played every inning. She was a 3 year team captain and a 4 year All-Conference player. She has coached at UMASS Boston and Belmont High School. Stacie is available for catching and hitting lessons.

 

Jen Scavonne – Softball Instructor

Jen has numerous honors at Clark University, including four-year 1st team NFCA Regional All-America, 1st team NFCA All-America in 2005, ECAC All-New England four years, and was recently named New England ECAC Player of the Year. Scavone's career batting average was an incredible .445. In three of her four years at Clark, she only made one error. After being invited to the Riptide training camp in 2005, Scavone became the only player in the league ever to come out of a division 3 school.

 

Jack Dunnigan – Baseball Instructor

Jack has been a lead instructor at Extra Innings since opening in January of 2005. He was a pitcher at Boston College and has over 30 yrs coaching experience in Little League, Babe Ruth League (Sr. and Jr.), American Legion and Yawkey Baseball League. Jack is available for private lessons in hitting, pitching, catching and fielding.

 
 

Dave Treska – Baseball Instructor

Dave has been instructing at Extra Innings since opening in January of 2005. He played at Somerville High School and at Bunker Hill Community College. Dave was the Assistant Head Coach at Newbury College and Head Coach at BHCC where he led them to the Yankee Small Conference Championship. He manages the Somerville franchise in Boston’s Yawkey Baseball League, a team considered one of the best teams in the state. In addition, Dave has been a MIAA umpire for the past 10 years and umpires at the college level. Dave is available for private lessons in hitting, pitching and fielding.
