Brook Capello - Head Softball Coach-Newbury College
Brook enters her second season as head coach of the Newbury College softball program. In her first season at the helm in 2011, she led the Nighthawks to their first New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) semifinals appearance with a 9-7 conference record. Prior to the 2011 season, Capello spent four years as an assistant coach with the Nighthawks under Head Coach Christine Grenache. In 2009-2010, Capello helped lead the Nighthawks to an overall record of 12-23, at ten-win gain from 2008-2009. Newbury faced a competitive 38 game schedule; which included traveling to ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex for spring training, as well as a 16 game New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) schedule. After claiming the final playoff spot, the Nighthawks lost in the first round leaving plenty of incentive for 2010-2011. For their commitment to the values of the game, the Nighthawks were given the NECC Sportsmanship Award at the culmination of the season. During the 2007 season, Capello helped bring immediate life to a program who had finished 0-22 prior to her arrival. The Nighthawks finished a program best overall record of 11-10 and qualified for the Association of Division III Independents Championship Tournament. A native of Hanover, MA Capello was a four-year letter winner at Division II Stonehill College where she played four years of outfield. While at Stonehill, Capello earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminology and just recently received her master's degree in Social Work from Boston College.

Nick Botelho - Baseball Instructor
An All-Star in high school, Nick also played A.A.U. for 5 years. During his time in high school Nick played for the South Shore Baseball Club Sea Dogs, the New England Hitdogs and the East Coast Pirates. Nick played 4 years at Fitchburg State University as a pitcher and outfielder. Primarily pitching out of the bullpen, Nick is currently 5th all time in appearances for Fitchburg State. During his sophomore year, he led the Falcons bullpen with a 2.95 ERA. After college, Nick worked for the Toronto Blue Jays "AA" affiliate New Hampshire Fisher Cats where he worked directly with the players. Nick currently plays for the Brighton Minutemen of the Yawkey Baseball League. In his first year with the team, Nick was selected as a league all-star and earned All Rookie Team honors while leading the team in hits.
Bobby Brown - Baseball Instructor
Bobby has played in the Dominican Republic Summer League, for the Championship Team Granjeros de Moca. Bobby Played Division 1 baseball at the University of Maine (NCAA Division-1 Regionals),and High Point University (Pre-Season All Conference team Sophomore Year). After College Bobby signed Professional Contracts with teams in the Frontier League and United League. Bobby has been with the Extra Innings Company since 1999, as part of the AAU National Championship 2nd place team. Bobby has been with the company at multiple locations including our Flag-ship facility in Middleton. Bobby is available for Hitting, Pitching, and Fielding Lessons. Mike Freire - Baseball Instructor
Mike currently serves as the Director of A.A.U. for the Metro Boston Minutemen program where he oversees three different teams. Mike has an extensive playing and coaching career as he has played and coached in the Yawkey Baseball League for over a decade. In the Yawkey League, Mike won two league championships while being selected to the All-Star team 6 different times.

Caroline Miller - Brandeis University
Caroline is currently a Senior at Brandeis University in Waltham, Ma. Since her freshmen year, Caroline has played a big part in the success of her team both pitching and with the bat. As a freshmen, Caroline was honored with NEISCA pitcher of the week as well as the UAA All Conference Team. Caroline has logged 220 innings on the mound while striking out close to 160 batters. Caroline currently holds a pitching record of 20 wins and 12 losses. At the plate, Caroline has collected a career average of .271, hitting 5 home runs while driving in 17 runs. Caroline resides in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania and she is currently majoring in Health, Science, Society & Policy. Caroline is available for pitching and hitting instruction.
Chelsea Korp - Softball Instructor
Chelsea attended Brandeis University where she played softball for 4 years. A three year starting shortstop, Chelsea has started 133 out of 137 games in her career. She is in the top 10 for career program rankings in seven offensive categories and has had numerous walk-off hits in her time at Brandeis including the game-winner in the finals of the 2008 ECAC Championship to give the Judges their first-ever ECAC crown. Chelsea is available for hitting and pitching.
Melisa Cagar - Brandeis University
Melisa also attended Brandeis University and was a teammate of Caroline Miller’s. Since her freshmen year, Melisa has started every game at second base. Melisa was an offensive machine while attending Brandeis. She owns a career batting average of .376 having played in 131 games. Melisa has 164 hits for her career including 12 home runs and drove in 79 runners. Melisa was named to the Second Team All Conference-UAA and Third Team New England her freshmen year. During her sophomore campaign, she was honored with First Team All Tournament, First Team All Conference, First Team All Region and an ECAC First Team All Star. In her Junior season, Melisa earned First Team All Conference and Third Team All Region. From Ridgewood, New Jersey, Melisa graduated in Health, Science, Society & Policy. Melisa is available for hitting instruction.
